About Us
The Smithtown Fire Department Explorer Post 420 is a youth fire company sponsored and operated out of the Smithtown Fire Department. Our Post is a chartered division of the Learning for Life organization and the Boy Scouts of America. Our purpose is to provide interested young adults with the basic training, skills, and insight of volunteer firefighting.
Our Explorers are trained in various skills including fire suppression, EMS/CPR, heavy rescue, extrication, and SCBA .
